If you do not want or if you just don’t have the time to do it yourself, you can just hire a professional to do it for you. Search online for pest control companies that offer mice extermination services. Professional mice exterminators shouldn’t be hard to find nowadays, thank you to the power of the internet. In case you didn’t know thousands and thousands, if not millions of homes are mice infested not just in the United States, but worldwide.

If you think you can handle the job and you want to do it yourself. You can try the traditional methods of catching a mouse. One of these methods are by using mousetraps. There are different types of mousetraps available on the market. The most basic and popular is the spring bar loaded mousetrap. You probably have seen this kind of mousetrap. It’s a very simple device with a heavily spring-loaded bar and a trip to release it, when a mouse touches the trip, the bar will swing down very rapidly with heavy force killing the poor rodent who bites the bait (usually a cheese).

You can also buy a glue trap or an electric mousetrap. A glue trap is very self explanatory, the mouse will be trapped by the sticky surface and most likely it will not be able to free himself, which means he will die a slow painful death. An electric mousetrap on the other hand will kill any rodent in an instant. It works by delivering a high voltage shock to the poor mouse. When buying an electronic mousetrap make sure that it has a built in safety switch so that it will automatically deactivate when the trap’s door is open.

There are different mice extermination methods, which means the mice extermination cost may vary depending on what method will be used. What you can do is to call a mice extermination company and ask for a quote over the phone. Usually you will be asked how severe the infestation is because it’s another factor that determines how much they will charge you.

Our family saves money on an exterminator by using the Kill and Seal Mouse Trap by Victor. It’s easy-to-use and seals the mouse inside the trap, so you don’t have to see or touch the dead mouse to dispose of it.

Here's the trap I found online, it’s 100% hygienic:
